Chamber Music Programs
Performing in a chamber music ensemble is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences for a musician. Students expand their overall musicianship, technique, and performance skills. Ensembles comprise various combinations of instruments including piano, woodwinds, and strings. Groups range in size from two to six performers.
Chamber groups will be coached by a teacher of our school. The coordinator will arrange the weekly coachings based on the schedules of the coaches and participants. The semester includes thirteen coachings, a master class, and a final performance.
Chamber groups are formed based on matching the level, age, and skill of the musicians who perform a successful audition.

Recitals boost confidence! Taking part in a recital helps performers to overcome shyness, fear, anxiety and stage fright. It gives students a chance to showcase all of their hard work, dedication, and progress throughout the year. As children experience getting on stage, performing for an audience, and being applauded for their efforts, they gain self-confidence that will carry with them in all aspects of school and life.
At HB School of Music, we offer a variety of opportunities for our students to perform in a confidence-boosting and supportive setting. We have 2 recitals every year, our Annual Recital in the Spring and a Winter Recital at the end of the year to showcase our students' progress. Students will also receive a trophy at the annual recital.
In addition to annual recitals held at an outside venue, we regularly host mini-recitals at Recital Hall of the school. This will give our students many more performance opportunities throughout the year. We always make sure that students get to perform on a grand piano. For our students these recitals are free.
Refer a Friend and Get Rewards!
We love referrals! Because we have such happy customers, we get a lot of new students through referrals. Getting your child’s friends involved with the program lets them share in similar interests and makes it all that more fun. Or maybe you have friends with children that love music and may want to start learning an instrument? Either way, as a way of saying thanks, we will gift both you and the referred family, each a FREE lesson! There is no limit to the amount of referrals you can make.
Free instrument rental program
For those who cannot afford an instrument right away, HB School of Music will pay for the first month rental so your child can try out an instrument with our highly qualified instructors, for example:
- Violin (1/8 to full size)
- Acoustic Guitar
- Electric Guitar
- Flute, Oboe, and other Wind instruments
Frequently asked questions
What do you learn in your music lessons?
That question is often asked by prospective students. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals.
We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach.
A seven year old having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs than a fifty-seven year old taking up piano for the 2nd time after having had lessons as a child.
The main reason to choose our school as your music lesson provider, is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student is an individual.
If you enroll here for lessons, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences. At the first lesson your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child.
What styles of music do you teach?
We teach all styles from rock, pop, jazz, country, blues and classical.
Are your instructors qualified?
Our teachers have received their education from prestigious institutions such as California State University of Long Beach, Brigham Young University (Idaho), BAKIP Linz (Austria), and many others. Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of the US and Europe and have over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level.
