Bachelor of Music Performance with an emphasis in Opera from Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University Long Beach
Rachel is a classically trained soprano, with experience in rock, jazz, and experimental vocals. She currently sings with the Pacific Chorale, and gigs at various churches in the Southern California region. Outside of professional classical singing, Rachel is a singer-songwriter and performs her original voice-ukulele music regularly. She is also a multi-medium artist and creates in the fields of crochet design, jewelry design, branding and graphic design.
Hometown: Hemet, CA
Musical Background: Rachel began playing the clarinet at age 7 and played in marching and symphonic bands through 12th grade. Her choir and classical voice studies began her freshman year of high school and continued through college and into a professional career. Through college, Rachel sang with nationally renowned choirs including the Riverside City College Chamber Singers and Bob Cole Chamber Singers. She has studied with top vocal instructors in California and been featured in masterclasses with Frederica Von Stade and other notable operatic Singers. She has performed the roles of First Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and sang chorus for Tchaikovsky’s Onegin, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, and Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro.

Years Teaching: Rachel has been teaching since graduating in 2014, however she has been a teacher and mentor to fellow singers and colleagues since her voice studies began in 2006. She works with all ages and vocal stylings.
Hobbies: I enjoy attending art shows and performances, crafting, reading, nature and meeting new people.
Message To You: Music is how we express ourselves! It has a way of giving life to those emotions that words cannot express. I want my students to learn the healthiest technique for their instruments in the most heartfelt and expressive way possible. Usually that means a combination of hard work and great fun!
