Biography

Rachel is a classically trained soprano, with experience in opera, art song, oratorio, musical theatre, rock, pop and experimental vocals. She currently sings with the Pacific Chorale, and gigs at various venues in Southern California. She sang backup for cross-genre artist Sarah Brightman on Sarah’s Hymn tour in 2019. Recently she sang in the chorus for Mahler’s Eighth Symphony with Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Rachel will be heard on a recording of the Disney Hall performances to be released by classical recording label Deutsche Grammophon later this year.


Hometown: Hemet, CA

Musical Background: Rachel began playing the clarinet at age 7 and played in marching and symphonic bands through 12th grade. Her choir and classical voice studies began her freshman year of high school and continued through college and into a professional career. Through college, Rachel sang with nationally renowned choirs including the Riverside City College Chamber Singers and Bob Cole Chamber Singers. She has studied with top vocal instructors in California and been featured in masterclasses with Frederica Von Stade and other notable operatic Singers. She has performed the roles of First Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and sang chorus for Tchaikovsky’s Onegin, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, and Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, and many other operatic productions.
