Like most website operators, Huntington Beach School of Music (HBSM) collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. HBSM’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how HBSM’s visitors use its website.
HBSM also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on our blog posts at https://www.hbschoolofmusic.com/blog/.
Certain visitors to HBSM’s student portal at https://www.hbschoolofmusic.com/musicspace/ choose to sign up for an account to be able to play music quizzes and track their progress / results. We ask visitors who sign up to provide an email address.

HBSM does not collect or store any credit card details but rather uses a third party called Paytrace, for billing and payment services, who are PCI Level 1 service provider. This means that Paytrace has the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
Google User Data
If you are HBSM's teachers and would like to copy your teaching schedules from HBSM's teacher portal to your Google calendar. HBSM will ask permission to access your Google calendar.
- HBSM will only use access to view, and edit events on your calendars related to your teaching schedules and will not transfer this Google calendar data to other parties.
- HBSM will not allow humans to read this data.
