Biography

Eric Aaron is an active horn player, private brass instructor, and public music educator based in Southern California. He balances his freelance career and private brass studio with his role as Instrumental Music Director at Colin Powell K-8 Academy in the Long Beach Unified School District (Go Eagles!). Eric has previously served as the Principal Horn of the Bob Cole Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. Passionate about the composer-performer collaborative process, he has premiered and recorded numerous new works by colleagues in California, his home state of Maryland, and summer festivals.

Eric earned his Master of Music in Horn Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach, and his Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Horn Performance from the University of Maryland. His principal teachers include Dylan Hart, Jim Thatcher, Greg Miller, and Justin Drew.
