Biography

Ms. Rachel is a vocalist and educator from Los Angeles, California with over 14 years of experience teaching voice and piano. She holds a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Northridge and a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from DePaul University in Chicago, where she honed her artistry through extensive performance and academic study.

An accomplished vocalist, Ms. Rachel has appeared in numerous opera productions, portraying roles such as Orfeo in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, Zia Principessa in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, and Mistress Quickly in Verdi’s Falstaff, Penelope in Monteverdi's Ritorno d'Ulisse, Mrs. Herring in Britten's Albert Herring, among others. She was a finalist in the Meistersinger International Vocal Competition in Graz, Austria and the winner of the Kleinman Voice Competition in Chicago.

Her piano journey dates back to early day. Beginning at the age of 5, she studied privately during her undergraduate degree. She has guided many students through the Certificate of Merit exams and has experience teaching young beginners and adults alike, incorporating theory, ear training, and sight reading into her well-rounded curriculum designed to cultivate skills in all aspects of music.

As an educator, Ms. Rachel is passionate about mentorship and inspiring curiosity and creativity in her students across all musical genres. She believes in equipping every student with the skills, confidence, and artistic tools to express themselves through music—whether performing for others or simply for the joy of making music.
